Manatee County

Manatee County operates a consolidated 800MHz Ericsson/GE/Com-Net EDACS System, all public safety communications occur on this system. The Manatee 911/EOC is the dispatch center for the county run EMS service, and all fire departments in the county. Bradeton Fire is self dispatched by Bradenton PD. The Manatee County Sheriffs office (MSO), Bradenton Police, Palmetto Police, & Long Boat Key all do their own dispatching via their own dispatch centers.Anna Maria Police was disbanded and is patrolled by MSO, and Bradenton Beach PD is dispatched by MSO.

The is a four (4) site system, 3 East sites & 1 West site. The East system is composed of sites in Myakka, Duette, and Lakewood Ranch. The West system is located in Bradenton at the Sheriffs building.

Note: By the end of 2006 this system will be 100% ProVoice, ALL TALKGROUPs, and most likely ESK'd as well. This will make it UNMONITORABLE by any scanner! A test was run for the ESK'd control channel a few weeks ago. (5/21/06). So enjoy it while you can.
